A Squabble of Seagulls

acrylic/mixed medium on board, 18" x 18"

$10,500

Most boaters have a love-hate relationship with Seagulls On one hand they are graceful as they soar on coastal breezes, their calls a part of what it means to be by the ocean. On the other hand, they can be rather nasty birds, snatching your picnic lunch at any given opportunity, fouling your boat, dock, car, beach blanket, etc., with a high degree of avian attitude and indifference. They don’t even seem to like each other, fighting over or stealing each other’s food, and complaining loudly over their place in the literal “pecking order”. Therefore, a group of Seagulls is called “A Squabble” and I have depicted them so.
